Social Connected
Breath of Life expresses its sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Carolyn Reed with MUSC Hollings Cancer Center. Dr. Reed was recently diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. She passed away this week from the disease. Her contributions to MUSC and the work that she did to fight cancer will not go unnoticed. For those of you who attended our event in June, you will remember the kind words that Dr. Reed spoke about Darlene and the experiences of the physicians and staff members who interacted with her. Rest in peace, Dr. Reed.
We wanted to share some exciting news! As a result of the generosity of our supporters attending the Breath of Life 2012 event, MUSC Hollings Cancer Center will recognize us as a member of the Circle of Hope under the House of Representatives category ($10,000-$24,999). A plaque reading "Breath of Life in memory of Darlene Westbury Walter" will be installed on the Hollings Cancer Center Donor Wall. We're working with Hollings in changing what's possible.
